course schedule

The course meets daily at 10 a.m. in the clubhouse and training and teaching takes place until around 6 p.m. Depending on the wind and weather, around six hours are spent on the water every day and one hour in theoretical preparation for the day's topics.

Depending on the topic of the day, the trainer travels directly on the boats or teaches from the motorboat. The crews are constantly swapped and the exercises are repeated so that everyone on board has the opportunity to train every position.

IMPORTANT: Changes to the course schedule are possible or necessary due to weather conditions or the number of participants.

course content

The course content is adapted to the level of knowledge of the sailors and the wind conditions. Optimization of the maneuver sequences, sail and rig trim, as well as sailing the gennaker are the focus. Gennaker sailing is a big focus, as the sail on the j 70 is relatively small and easy to control. The different recovery options such as windward drop or Mexican drop cause tension and sore muscles. Every now and then the boats are allowed to sail straight, and at the end of the week the participants can reward themselves with the best tiramisu on the island.
